New Visitor
Are you planning your first visit to University? Great! We can't wait to meet you! We strive to be like Jesus in all that we do, and if you are looking for a church where you can serve and fellowship, we'd love to have you join our family here at University Church of Christ!
Our congregation is a blend of young adults, families with children of all ages, and elderly so whether you dress formally or casually or somewhere in between, you'll fit right in.
Our worship service is held in our auditorium - it is easy to access but if you need help, an usher can assist you in finding a seat.
When you find your place, please settle in, check out our scrolling announcements, and fill out a visitor's card, so we will have a record of your visit. If you would like us to pray for you, or you have anything we can assist you with, please add it to your card and we'll reach out to you after your visit.
You'll find our worship service is simple and reverent. After a brief welcome, we'll sing a capella (church style, without instruments) as Christians have done for 2000 years. We will be led in prayer to seek God's blessing on our worship, and on Sundays we will participate in a communion service. All baptized believers are encouraged to partake in the Lord's Supper.
We will take up an offering that helps support our work locally and in mission fields around the world; members are encouraged to give cheerfully and purposefully. Visitors are not expected to participate, although you can, if you wish.
Every sermon is based on scripture; if you didn't bring a Bible, the verses will be shown on the screen, and there are extra Bibles in the pew back. At the close of the lesson, we will offer an invitation to anyone who would like to become a Christian, and for any who need our prayers or some encouragement. We'll close with a final prayer, and we hope you'll stick around for a few minutes after that, so we can meet you.
Our Bible classes are held on Sundays at 9:30 am and Wednesdays at 7:00 pm and we'd love to have you visit then, too.
